Breaks are necessary to replenish our energy before continuing our journey. Even engines in machines and robots need to shut down for maintenance purposes. It is in these cases that a “retreat” or a period of solitude could be beneficial. Solitude allows us to re-evaluate our progress and come back to the trail with fresh eyes and a replenished spirit to continue. It is this aloofness that we allow ourselves to question everything and ask ourselves: “Is all this baggage necessary for my journey?”; “What can I allow myself to let go?”; “What do I need to work on for the obstacles ahead?” If we don’t take those breaks, we might continue to perpetuate the same mistakes and miss opportunities that were available to us. We run the risk of finding a better method to life for fear of losing ground. In these cases, consider this:
